Picksy detects each time you unlock your phone and counts it as a pickup. Tracking runs silently in the background with no battery drain and no manual logging. For the most accurate counts, keep the app installed and allow notifications so the Live Activity can stay updated.
The Distraction Shield and time limits use Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. If apps aren't blocking as expected:
Picksy is free to download. Pro unlocks the heatmap, phone personality type and duels with a one-time purchase of €4.99 — no subscription. A free 14-day trial is included, one trial per device.
Duels let you challenge a friend to see who picks up their phone less. Duels are accepted automatically — if your friend's score shows a question mark, their device hasn't synced yet. Their score will appear once they unlock their phone or open the app.
To remove all friends and disconnect from social features: Settings → Connected Friends → Remove all.
All tracking data lives on your device and is deleted when you delete the app. Two exceptions:
